The government is claiming to increase employment on a large scale, but its own figures show that thousands of people have lost jobs during this period. During the last year, between April and June, 87,000 jobs were left in the manufacturing sector in just three months.

According to the Sixth quarter employment report of the Ministry of Labor, 1.54 lakh jobs are involved in six areas. It has 99,000 jobs in education, 31,000 in health, 10,000 in construction sector, 7,000 in trade, 5000 in housing and restaurant and 2000 new jobs in IT and BPO. But 90,000 jobs have gone in the Transport and Manufacturing sector.
Demand is not increasing, so workers will have to go clearly. Government has to see things like single window clearance and demand increase. This problem may increase, because in 2017-18, there is fear of a decline in the manufacturing sector.

Estimates of 4.6 percent growth rate in 2017-18 compared to 7.9 percent in 2016-17. Our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 70 lakh jobs are connected to Employees Provident Fund (EPF); it seems that many new jobs have arisen. But the bitter truth is that 90,000 people have lost jobs in the same quarter last year.
